A killer with a way with cuffs is on the rampage. After several murders the police are still without a suspect until Virna Nightbourne presents them with drawing she made of the killings. Having made the drawings under some kind of trance, including details unknown to the public, detective Larry Weeks and journalist Paul McCormack take her seriously and begin to investigate her visions. Now in the public eye, Virna is at risk from the killer and the guys take a less than professional interest in her while needing to protect her.
One to push the buttons of the BBFC, The Killing Hour (The Clairvoyant) is a film that rather deftly skirts around the limits of the permissible at the time. While certainly not obscene there are things the censorious did not like at all. A more understandable entry on the Section 3 list but is it any good?
