Joe Warren is trying to take Manos back from the public domain. Having spent the last few years kicking off at people for using the film or making derivative works based on it, he’s decided to try and take it back by dubious legal tactics. Manos would be nothing without the public domain, it would have been gone forever. But it lived, revived like ‘The Masters’ wives because people could view it for free. How dare Joe Warren, who has done nothing to revive the film, behave like this. How dare he try and take this away from the public domain that has made this film what it is.
